In the Workplace
The Alexander Technique is especially helpful to people who spend large amounts of time at the computer. Employees can learn a great deal being taught hands-on in their workplace.
Most recently I've been teaching workshops and semi-private lessons at Google's corporate headquarters in Mt. View. This program has been highly successful and can be easily adapted to your work environment.
Lessons in the Alexander Technique work well in conjunction with an ergonomics program. For example, once the keyboard tray is installed and the monitor is set at the correct height, the Alexander Technique teaches the individual how to sit with more ease and less tension. This education reduces strain at the computer and can increase functionality.
I offer lessons and presentations in the workplace to small businesses and corporations including,
- individual lessons
- single or weekly "brown bag" lunch presentations
- health fairs or other company sponsored events
- workshops
- classes
My class
"It's Not Just Your Chair, How to Sit Comfortably Using the Alexander Technique" provides practical information to people who work at the computer for long periods.
This is a great benefit to offer the people who work at your business.
